I copped some jeans from Holister the other day and in my haste, I grabbed the wrong size – only to find out when I got home they wear too small. In this observation, I noticed emediatly that although I am slim, skinny jeans would never be for me. The only way I could walk around in these pants would be if I hag sagged (something I don’t do). Rule of thumb for jeans…if you can Stanky Leg in them, don’t wear them.
I can’t lie, when I first heard Mickey Factz, I thought he was a little whack. But after a second listen, I’m convinced he is very far from that.
His last mix tape Heaven’s Fallout is great. He fuses alternative rock with with Hip Hop to elaborate on a new genre of rap that few are embarking on now. Rappers like Kanye West, Charles Hamilton, and Kid Cudi have tapped into this style of rap, but Factz brings his own swag along the Hip Hop journey.
Factz ryhmes over classic tracks like the gieco caveman commercial and other alternative from Jamiroquai. He even sings a little like most rapper are starting to do these days. Never the less, Factz is a force to be reconded with

These not-so-enthused students in Kansas, dressed favoring a college fraternity probating for Obama, are raising eyebrows to questions like…”Is this indoctrination?” or “Is this getting them involved in politics young?” I don’t know. I think it is a little questionable that they are not performing this routine in front of the rest of the school…maybe they are practicing…or maybe it might not be allowed to endorse either party nominee…or maybe it was just a class project, who knows? One thing is for sure, the teacher who sponsored this display was suspended and the video does raise eyebrows, and on top of the McCain is trying to capitalize on Obama’s slip-up by association. Honestly, I think Obama has done nothing wrong but put a positive Black roll model and a legitimate candidate in a politcal race.

Gangsters with baggy jeans? I don’t think this is a good combination. Let analyze a stereotypical “thug’s” outfit.
Now lets go over the gangster’s equipment and possible predicaments…
Now this opinionated blurp is addressing the attire of the said thug(s), so notice how the baggy jeans and boots don’t really match up with running away from cops. I would assume that an escape savvy gangster would have a pair of running shoes, (probably th hottest Nike Shocks or Frees) and if they were were wearing jeans that day, maybe some slim fit, boot cut jeans, and if boots were an absolute necessity, Nike Boots would do just fine.
Also, the chains would just be noise makers, like cow bells saying COPS, I’M RIGHT HERE!!! How would you keep your drugs and guns from falling out of your sagging jeans. The only way I can think of would be to walk like Dumb Donald from Fat Albert. For every five steps you take, you have to stop to fix you pants, hat, and maybe tie your shoes. Dressing this way seems to only make you stand out like a soar thumb.
Kids and thugs, it’s not cool to dress this way. But who knows, maybe the real gangsters know this, and only wannabes flock to the thug fashions.
I stepped out on my lunch break today and heard the radio mention The New Yorker cover having a picture of Obama dressed as a Muslim and his wife as a afro wearing militant. So I rushed back to my cubicle to see it for myself. I felt the drawing to be over the line, but art is sometimes contraversial. So I’ll leave it up to you. Here are some videos I watched.
