Happy B-day Yeezy

Happy Birthday Yeezy

Had to do it.

Playing around on the iMac this weekend and felt like putting this together for one of my favorite rappers.  I suggest you look up Ezra Jack Keats to see where I got my inspiration from.  Fans should know why I chose the pastel colors. With that being said… happy b-day. Enjoy.

O yea… this one was for fun.

McGangWHAT?

Ok, so I have obviously been away from home too long, or at least from McDonald’s. It was one thing to hear that the Double Cheeseburger was robbed of a piece a cheese and named McDouble, but I’m hearing rumors of a combination of dollar menu excellence. Apparently this recession has inspired some hungry person to step outside the box and merge a McDouble with a Fish Fillet and call it a McGangbang. Now I thought this was some mystical sandwich that you could only get at select locations – but then I googled it. Sure enough it exists! The only catch is you have to buy a Fish Fillet and a McDouble, split the McDouble in half and place the entire Fish Fillet betwixt the meat (no homo) and enjoy. How they got the name McGangbang…you figure it out.

Colorful Kicks

Converse and Hawaii based surf brand, Original Jams are visiting the past to make a bright future in shoes. Take your 1980’s Hawaii Five – 0 shirts – throw it on your Chucks and bam! Instant classic. That’s pretty much what these shoes look like. Expect to see these vibrant kicks worn all throughout the summer with skinny jeans and graphic tees.

Satire, racism, or stupidity

19 02 2009

chimp-comic

OK, so their are probably about a thousand blogs with commentary on this comic that ran yesterday in the New York Post, but as a cartoonist and artist, I had to say something. THIS IS RACIST! A comic should be satirical and although the chimp’s oddly displayed slain body is a bit morbidly amusing, the comic shows a representation of our president gunned down; which is just wrong.

The iMac inspiration

17 02 2009

So I was in need of a new computer and I started thinking about the best choice. As a designer and computer enthusiast, I picked up an iMac and since then my motivation to create beautiful things has taken off. I think it’s something about the visual aesthetics of the apple monitor that sparks creativity. I believe that anyone who has an Apple computer will be motivated to create something great.
